Preci-changes
How much will precipitation departures change by 2030?
Dataset title: Precipitation Change in Canada – Annual average precipitation departures from 1961–1990 reference value, Canada - Data table

This dataset contains precipitation departures ( in percentages ) throughout Canada from 1948 to 2014.
What are precipitation departures?
Precipitation departures are departures from the AVERAGE precipitation of the region. This metric indicates how much precipitation has deviated ( in percentage in this observation ) from the average precipitation value, which helps in understanding long-term trends.
What concerns us with precipitation departures?
Climate change has the ability to alter weather patterns and cycles, resulting in abnormally low or high precipitation.
Too much precipitation causes floods, ruins crops, and hindrances in society ( no internet, electricity, etc. ). Too little precipitation can lead to droughts, where food and water supply are drastically affected.

I'm looking back 30 years to predict values until 2030.
As you can see, the graph trends upwards. The dotted line depicts the distinction between real data and predictions. To the left of the dotted line is real data, to the right are predictions by the ML model.
The slope of the regression line is roughly 0.22. This means that the ML model predicts a rise of roughly 0.22 percent in precipitation departures every year ( more precipitation ) in Canada.
The ML model also predicts that by 2030, precipitation departures will be closer to 10%, roughly twice the precipitation departures of 2018.
This observation concludes that predicted precipitation departures will be approximately double the precipitation departures of 2018.
This will cause more unpredictable weather, more floods, and disturbances and hindrances in society.
